"It's all in the selection"

Strands
Imperial Crown Jewelry

There are six physical factors that determine the quality of the pearl: nacre, luster, color, size, shape, and surface texture.

The nacre is the outside surface layer of the pearl. The luster and brightness comes from the thickness and uniformity of the nacre,

which results, on how the light reflects off the surface. This is the most critical factor in determining quality. The more valuable pearls tend to be perfectly round. The larger and rounder the pearl, it increases in value. Crown Pearls represent the finest aspects of all six physical factors:

Fact: No matter what brand a pearl carries, all Akoya pearls are grown and cultured the same.

Fact: Only 5% of pearls are good enough to be Crown Pearls.

Fact: Each pearl on each strand is carefully hand selected.

Fact: All Crown Pearls are white and consistent in color.

Fact: There are no pits or marks on the surface of a Crown Pearl.

Fact: The luster on a Crown Pearl is deep and consistent.
