Report on the September Hong Kong Jewelry Show

Every time we travel to see our suppliers, we find that the pearl market is never stagnant, the product is always evolving and this show was no exception. One of the biggest differences was that the quality of the freshwater cultured pearl has improved dramatically; beautiful naturally colored pearls were also impressive.  Golden South Sea jewelry and strands were high in demand.  We would like to share some of these treasures with you in this newsletter.  (full report)

Golden South Sea

The most striking change in the market was the increase in the availability of good quality South Sea golden pearls. The Philippine's and Indonesia are where the vast majority of golden pearls come from. These are the rarest of all pearls. What could be finer than a pearl that looks as golden as the most precious of all metals? What could complement gold jewelry better than pearls of gold?

Education

It is our belief an enhanced knowledge of the cultured pearl product category results in greater sales and an increased passion for pearls. Since we have seen a tremendous increase in the supply of Golden South Sea Pearls we have chosen Jewelmer's video presentation.

The Ultimate Orient
