The color of pearls
Peach, pink, mauve, lilac, and lavender are the range of freshwater cultured pearl natural colors. Occasionally, some have brilliant metallic highlights which immediately attract the eye with their unique flash. The amount and variety of product is astounding. Freshwater cultured pearls are large, beautiful, round and smooth. Some are in freeform baroque shapes. Keishi are in every shape imaginable. The colors are deep and vibrant in shades of reddish green to the silver gray of Tahiti’s Pinctada Margaritifera. The golden spectrum of the Philippines gold lipped Pinctada Maxima is beautiful. The Australian cultured pearls are white and silver beauties. The most amazing was the fabulous freshwater cultured pearl spectrum of light pink to peach to deep purple. A metallic orange color is also in the mix. Now it is possible to combine these various pearls into jewelry and strands to form gorgeous combinations that never existed before.
