From the farm to Main Street in one easy step.

Black Pearls a new way.

It may be a little harder, but its worth it !

Imperial in co-operation with Perles de Tahiti as well as the Cook Island Pearl Authority has worked to change the way pearls are brought to market in the US. The traditional chain of distribution has been a multi level route to the jeweler. Pearls passing from the farm to the auctions, then to the processors for matching and drilling. Those processed pearls are then sold to US pearl wholesalers that then sell to jewelry manufactures or retailers. Each step adds value as well as cost. US  pearl dealers are ill equipped to buy raw pearls at the source. The farmer wants to sell the entire harvest including the good, bad and ugly. The challenge is to find a use for all the pearls.

Imperial with its large facility in East Providence, RI has the means to accomplish this. With 100 employees, Imperial may be the only US Pearl company with the means to make this happen.
